This Air Max 1 Mercurial comes with a design inspired by the Mercurial collection that owned the World Cup in 2010. The star was Cristiano Ronaldo, and you may also remember the crazy commercial Nike used for the World Cup; Write the Future. It was actually Nike's full collection of boots, which in connection with the World Cup had all gotten the same purple/orange paint job that caught the eyes of many. You may even have a pair at home? The similarities are not just found in the colour choices, because the upper is made of the exact same material as we know from the current Mercurial collection.
