Please note: only one pair per person/household/order In 1994 adidas launched the Predator, a boot silo that would soon become one of the most iconic and beloved to date. Therefore, 2014 also marks the 20 year anniversary of this very special boot. We have now seen 14 generations of the Predator, and the one has been more iconic than the other. The anniversary is celebrated with 14 versions of the new Predator Instinct, including 3 boots that are a part of the new Revenge Pack. The last boot to be honoured in the Revenge Pack is a boot that was immortalised by players like David Beckham, Alessandro Del Piero and Zinedine Zidane – the adidas Predator Mania. The boot was launched ahead of the World Cup in 2002, which was held in South Korea and Japan and the boot quickly swept the world becoming one of the most popular boots out there. The new remake is a limited edition, with very few being made around the world – so hurry up and get your hands on them before it's too late. The original Predator Mania was made with an upper of soft and supple kangaroo leather, which gave incredible comfort. Furthermore the boot was, like its predecessor, made with asymmetrical stitching. And power and precision when striking the ball was a top priority, when it came to the development of the Predator Mania. The Mania was made with friction zones, just like the Predator Accelerator. The zones were however now focused on the side of the foot, so an immense amount of friction was generated, when you hit a freekick, or any other deadball. This was a quality loved by many, but particularly David Beckham, who was known for his inch perfect freekicks used this to lethal effect. Furthermore the Predator Mania was equipped with padding on the medial side of the boot, so you had extra power and protection when passing the ball. Just like its predecessors the Predator Mania also had the iconic boot tongue, which was a common theme on the classic Predator's. The tongue had however gotten an update on the Predator Mania and as something new the boot now had an elastic band running the boot. This meant the tongue stayed put and gave you a clean strike surface and supreme touch on the ball. The remake of the Predator Mania is made with the same classic design, as the original. The new version of the Predator Mania is however also equipped with the newest innovation from adidas football. Just like on the Predator 1994 and Predator Accelerator from the Revenge Pack, the Predator Mania is made with an upper of adidas' Hybridtouch material, which combines the best qualities from leather and synthetic. The look of the remake is however unquestionably classic and exactly like the original, even featuring the iconic boot tongue. The friction zones are placed in the same spot as on the original, so you can get the perfect swerve on the ball, when hitting your freekicks. The sole on the new Predator Mania is made with the adidas Controlfram, which gives better stability around the front foot, as well as increased control. The Predator Mania is an iconic model in the legendary collection and the look of the remake definitely leads the mind back to David Beckham seemingly supernatural ability to strike the football and Zidane's unique skills with the ball.
